CJP It's Done Bro Scoring & Combo Tips – Top the Leaderboard

The exact scoring maths, combo system, and minute-by-minute strategy for high scores.

The difference between an average score and a leaderboard score in CJP It's Done Bro isn't reflexes — it's understanding the scoring maths. Here's exactly how points work and how to squeeze the most out of every round.

The scoring formula

Every smash is worth its base points multiplied by your current combo:

  • Normal cockroach: 10 × combo (10 at x1, 50 at x5)
  • Golden cockroach: 100 × combo (100 at x1, 500 at x5)

The combo climbs as you chain smashes quickly without missing, maxing out at x5. One miss — one tap on empty space — and it drops straight back to x1.

Why the combo is everything

Do the maths on a golden cockroach: at x1 it's 100 points. At x5 it's 500. That single smash is worth fifty normal x1 smashes. Two goldens at full combo (1,000 points) can outweigh minutes of casual play. Everything in this game flows from one rule: build the combo early, protect it late.

The escape penalty, properly understood

A cockroach escaping off-screen costs -5 points. That sounds bad until you compare it to a broken combo. Dropping from x5 to x1 means your next ten normal smashes earn 100 points instead of 500 — a 400-point swing. The -5 escape penalty is nothing next to that. Never risk a combo to save 5 points. Let edge-runners go.

Minute-by-minute strategy

Minutes 1-3 (slow): This is combo-building time. The cockroaches are slow, misses are unlikely. Chain smashes steadily until you hit x5, then maintain it. Bank easy points.

Minutes 4-6 (medium): Speed is rising. Switch to golden-first priority: scan for gold, smash it, then clean up normals. Stop chasing cockroaches near edges.

Minutes 7-8 (fast): Deliberately slow your tapping pace by about 20%. Counter-intuitive, but at this speed one miss costs more than slightly fewer smashes. Accuracy over volume.

Minutes 9-10 (chaos): Only smash what you're sure of. If your combo is at x5, defend it like your score depends on it — because it does. A single golden at x5 here (500 pts) beats ten rushed normals.

Advanced tips

Learn the spawn rhythm. Cockroaches don't appear randomly — they come in waves. After a few rounds you'll feel the pattern, and you can pre-position your finger or cursor where the next wave lands.

Use the edges as a filter. Cockroaches heading for the edge are already lost causes if they're far — ignore them. Focus on the centre of the screen where smashes are safe.

Don't play tired. This sounds silly, but combo discipline collapses when your reactions slow. Your best scores will come in your first few rounds of a session.

Golden tunnel vision is real. Chasing a golden across the screen while three normals escape is fine (gold is worth it) — but don't chase it off the screen with a wild tap. A miss on a golden costs you the combo AND the golden.

What a top-20 score looks like

You don't need perfection — you need one clean run. Most leaderboard scores come from rounds where the player held x5 through the final three minutes and caught 3-5 goldens at full combo. That's roughly 2,000-3,000 points from goldens alone, plus steady normal smashes. One focused round beats ten sloppy ones.
